The Work

Don’t Send Flowers uses an 8-week curriculum to help excavate and process the grief we often hold deep inside. Developed by Laurenne Sala after years of studying alternative therapies, facilitating suicide loss grief groups, and helping people release their vulnerable stories through narrative therapy, it focuses on processing grief through sharing, storytelling, journaling, and getting honest about how we feel and what our loss means to our lives.

Each week represents a common theme among suicide loss survivors and includes time for sharing, listening, writing, and moving our bodies. The curriculum includes everything from self reflection, meditation, breathwork, scream therapy, reiki, and maybe even some Pagan paper-burning rituals. Most importantly, the curriculum offers a safe space where all grief is welcome, tears are normal, and everyone understands.
